ABOUT US

Kersiehuis guest house is situated in the cherry and sandstone capital, Ficksburg, and offers guests comfortable and friendly accommodation in a Tuscan setting.

The guest house offers a choice of eight En-suite Rooms furnished with either a double bed or two single beds. The en-suite bathrooms consist of showers or baths and cosy linen and towels are provided. For comfort, the rooms have heaters, tea and coffee facilities and TVs with DStv. Each room also has a private entrance for privacy. Braai facilities are available and breakfast and other meals are available on request and served in the dining room. Off-street parking is also available for guests.

The tranquility of Ficksburg and its surrounds is perfect if you want to escape from the hectic pace of city life. Guests can enjoy a trip over the magnificent Maluti Mountains to the Katse Dam in Lesotho using the Italian engineered Mifika Lisiu Pass while enjoying beautiful views. Water sports and angling are enjoyed on the Meulspruit Dam which is surrounded by a nature reserve and is also the start and finishing point for the 23 km Imparani Hiking Trail.

ACCOMODATION

All rooms are with en-suite bathrooms. Every room is individually decorated and furnished, with either a double or 2 single beds. We also accommodate families with up to 5 members, but this must be discussed prior to arrival.

Every room has pure white linen with down duvets, which are treated to be anti-allergic. We also have synthetic bedding for those who prefer it.

We have very moderate summer temperature and it is cool in the evenings. Our winters here are very cold, and for that we have heaters, electric blankets and extra blankets in every room for your comfort.

Tea and coffee facilities are available along with DSTV in every room. Smoking is strictly prohibited in every room.

The following toiletries are provided: fresh towels daily, soap bar, rooms fresheners, foam bath, shampoo, liquid hand wash, cotton face pads, ear buds, bandages and pins.

Other essentials are available from the reception, hair dryer, games for the children, shoe polish, tooth brushes, tooth paste, combs panado or disprin and other various items (that you forgot to pack along with you) can be bought form out little shop.

If you are in need of a cold storage, there is a small fridge in the communal area that you are welcome to use.
